Team Golf Day at Kanata Golf and Country Club

Kanata Golf and Country Club is known to be a prestigious, members only golf club, and one of the best maintained golf courses in the Ottawa area.

We had the privilege of getting in contact with Brent Deighan, the Director of Operations at Kanata Golf and Country Club, as we have a new listing ‘For Sale’ that is backing onto the 9th hole at the Kanata Golf and Country Club.

Brent was kind enough to invite us to play a game and invite some friends so we could really see what it was like being a member there and to view all of the properties that surrounded the Kanata Golf and Country Club in the Kanata Lakes area.

We invited some other realtors/friends at Royal LePage and Remax Core Realty Inc., Brokerage, and other friends at our office space, Head Office to make a day of it!

We started the day off with a nice lunch and team drink at Kanata Golf and Country Club bistro. Jenna and Megan had the fish tacos, while Brooke had the chicken wrap, which were delicious! It was the perfect way to fuel up for our 9 rounds while we all got to catch up and enjoy the gorgeous view on the balcony terrace.

We then divided the 16 of us into groups of 4 and set off in our caddies with our various tee times.

On our team we had Brooke, Jenna, Megan – Our admin assistant, and Eli Skaff – Owner of the Remax Core Realty Inc., Brokerage. Although, we weren’t pros by any means, we had practiced at the driving range leading up to our golf day, and some of us had played golf occasionally.

Our beginner-level skills were pretty apparent during the 9 holes so we played best ball and tried our best!  What was most important was that we had a great time spending some quality time with our team, enjoyed the scenic golf course, and got to see the many unique properties that were backing right onto the course! In that area you really do get the feeling of community and a sense of belonging to something, which I haven’t seen in many other areas. Many of the homes have signs posted in the front and backyards promoting the protection of the green space in Kanata Lakes, which was really nice to see everyone join together in unison over this and understand the importance of comradery. All of the properties there are full of gardens, mature trees, and are so quiet and peaceful. It is a really gorgeous course and neat how you get to drive in your caddies through the surrounding neighbourhood streets to get to some of the holes.

The best part of the day was that we got to view our new listing from a members view, which was incredible!

It really is such a rare property and a great experience being able to play at the last hole seeing our “For Sale” sign on the backyard across the serene lake.
